In Loving Memory of Manuel “Manny” Adriatico
Born: February 24, 1940 – Manila, Philippines
Passed Away: December 8, 2025 – University Place, Washington (Franciscan Hospice House)
Manuel “Manny” Adriatico, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 85 years old.
Manny is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Cecilia “Lilia,” his two daughters, Liza (Nonthaveth) and Joy (Trajano), both of Covington, WA; his sons-in-law, Rick Trajano and Douang Nonthaveth; and his cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Mia Trajano, and Hannah and Ethan Nonthaveth. His family was his greatest joy, and he dedicated his life to their care and happiness.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Manny graduated from college and began his career at Hong Kong Bank. In 1978, he and Lilia made the brave decision to immigrate to California with their two young daughters, seeking a better future.
In 1997, they moved to Washington State, where their daughters had graduated from Pacific Lutheran University and Seattle University and chosen to build their lives.
After retiring, Manny and Lilia devoted themselves to caring for their grandchildren, creating countless memories filled with love and laughter. When the youngest reached school age, Manny and Lilia returned to the Philippines to enjoy their retirement years.
Manny’s devotion extended beyond family—he lovingly cared for his wife, Lilia as she faced Alzheimer’s and dementia, remaining steadfast by her side until the very end.
Manny will be remembered for his boundless generosity, his willingness to help others without hesitation, and his deep love for food and family gatherings. His kindness and selflessness touched everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering commitment to family.
Manny will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at Edline-Yahn Covington Funeral Chapel. Details will be shared with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
