Kent resident LaVerne Civarra died January 16, 2014 in Renton. She was born December 21, 1925 in Oregon City, Oregon to Herbert and Myrtle (Knighten) Imel. She married Nick Civarra on January 23, 1960.

LaVerne is survived by daughter Mary Fitzgerald and husband Martin; son John Watt and wife Karen; grandson Matthew Fitzgerald and wife Jennifer, great grandchildren MacKenzie and Jaxon Fitzgerald; granddaughter Sherry Duncalf and husband Travis, great granddaughter Leigh Duncalf; granddaughter Josetta Watt, great grandchildren Autumn Beckwith and Jonathan Ball; granddaughter Anne Watt, great grandchildren Jacob Price, Rachel and Ashe Williams; grandson Daniel Watt and wife Laura; granddaughter Malisa Watt; brother James Imel and his wife Doris; and sister-in-law Pat Imel. She is also survived by stepsons James Civarra and wife Marti, Larry Civarra and wife Patti; stepdaughters Sally Norton, and Molly Scott and husband Randy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Civarra on April 12, 2008; her parents; and her brother Herb Imel.

Services are Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel in Kent, viewing from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery. Sign her online guestbook at www.edline-yahn.com
