Seattle, Washington
Chrysanthemum Adylle Binayug, lovingly known as “Chrysa” to her family and “Rysan” to her friends, fell asleep in death on June 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Chrysanthemum was born on March 1, 1993, at Mary Chiles Hospital in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. She was the beloved eldest daughter of Marlene and the loving older sister to Jacinth and Azalea.
In 2002, she immigrated to the United States to reunite with the rest of her family in Washington. She graduated from Renton High School before pursuing her passion for the performing arts at Cornish College of the Arts, where she studied Theater. She spent most of her life in Seattle, Washington, before moving to Hollywood, California in 2020 to pursue her dreams. In 2024, she returned to Seattle, where she spent the remainder of her life surrounded by those who loved her.
Throughout her acting career, Chrysanthemum appeared in
numerous theatrical productions, including Don Giovanni, Raisins in a Glass of Milk (lead), The Curse of Rosita (lead), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She was also the lead in her latest TV mini-series, called “It Ain’t About You”. She modeled in various productions and was the Co-Producer, Creative Director, Host, and Performer for the production Shake Off the Shame. In addition, she was proudly represented by TCM Models and Talent. Chrysanthemum was a devoted daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, grandniece, and friend. She lived life boldly and authentically, remaining unapologetically herself in every
way. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, playful heart, infectious smile, and wonderfully eccentric nature. Her larger-than life presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She expressed herself fearlessly through her acting, paintings,
writing, colorful makeup, and eclectic sense of style that was
uniquely her own. She saw beauty in individuality and embraced
standing out, making every room a little brighter simply by being
in it. Most importantly, she will be remembered for her quiet
strength, compassionate heart, and the genuine care she showed
to those around her. Her laughter, warmth, creativity, and
unforgettable presence will be deeply missed and forever
cherished.
Chrysanthemum is lovingly survived by her mother, Marlene
Reyes Binayug Bunag; stepfather, Jonathan Cunanan Bunag; her
grandmother, Erlinda Reyes Binayug; her grandfather, Marciano
Binayug; her sisters, Jacinth Jade Bunag Melegrito and Azalea
Jaira Bunag; and many beloved Lolas, Lolos, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
