It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we, her daughters, share the passing of our beloved mother, AnnMarie SN Baza Cruz Brunton, on August 8, 2025, in Kent, Washington, where she built a home filled with love, strength, and purpose.
Born AnnMarie San Nicolas Baza on January 4, 1959, in Agana, Guam, our Mom lived a life full of determination, courage, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Mom lived with unwavering love and remarkable strength. She was a proud and devoted daughter, loyal sister, loving wife, and a mother who led with strength and love. Her guidance shaped us, her discipline strengthened us, and her love was always present—in the sacrifices she made, the lessons she taught, and the ways she supported her family every day.
Mom embodied the truth in Jill Churchill’s words: “There’s no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.” She was our anchor and inspiration, and while losing her leaves a void in our hearts, her spirit, courage, and love will continue to guide us.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Bessie Baza, her brothers Joaquin Baza & Peter Baza, and her sister Teresita Baza Pascua.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Dinaca Cabrera and Delisha Cruz; her son-in-law, Darren Cabrera; her granddaughter, Aileigh Cabrera; her siblings and their spouses: Josefa Lindner, New Orleans, Louisiana; Gregorio SN Baza & Carmencita Baza, Lacey, Washington; Rosario & Jesus (Andy) Anderson, Merizo, Guam; Maria Baza & Lorenzo (Larry)Fejeran, Olympia, Washington; Alberto Baza, New Orleans, Louisiana; Frances Baza, Covington, Washington; and Michael Baza, New Orleans, Louisiana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will forever remember her love and guidance.
As we celebrate Mom’s life, we remember her as a woman of incredible heart, unwavering strength, and a powerful love that shaped us all. We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page. Through your words, we will continue to feel her love, her strength, and her spirit—reminding us always of the remarkable woman that was AnnMarie.
Mom, we hold your love and resilience in our hearts every day. We will always remember you, love you, and cherish the sacrifices you made, which will live forever in us. Your memory will remain with us with gratitude, honor, and endless love.
