Alicia Richards

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alicia Bagay Richards, who left us on March 6, 2025. Born on September 12, 1960, in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines, Alicia relocated to Puyallup, Washington, where she lived for 11 years, and etched her name in the hearts of all who knew her.

Alicia was a woman of many virtues, her life was a testament of love, dedication, and resilience. In her professional life, she served diligently as a Billing Administrator in the medical sector until her retirement. Her meticulous nature and commitment to service won her widespread respect in her field. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Alicia embodied this quote, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unerring dedication to her loved ones and her work.

Alicia is survived by her children, Joelyn Martin (Wayde) and John Alfaro, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doroteo and Anita Bagay, who welcomed her into this world and have now received her in the next. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00am PDT at the Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel located at 27221 156th Avenue Southeast, Kent, Washington, 98042. A simple reception will follow at 12:00pm PDT at the same venue.
